Once we’ve completed your new brows you’ll take a look at them for the first time, which can often feel a mix of nervous excitement. From here it is normal to:
Rest assured your new brows . During the healing period your brows will appear darker due to surface pigment oxidising and intentional colour selection. As the skin heals, the colour softens and flakes to reveal the final result. Brows are typically fully settled and visible . We recommend you don’t book your eyebrow appointment close to important events, as brows may appear more intense during healing.

Absolutely. This is one of the things we love most about cosmetic tattooing. The aim is to enhance what you already have rather than make you look like a completely different person. Your shape, colour and treatment are chosen to suit you.
It depends on the treatment and your skin, but brow tattoos generally last around 12–24 months, while lip blush can last around 2–3 years or sometimes longer. Things like sun exposure, skincare and skin treatments can affect how quickly your colour fades. If your colour starts to fade or become patchy, a colour boost appointment can help freshen everything back up.
Most clients find it very comfortable. You’ll be given information about a topical numbing gel before your appointment and a little sensation is completely normal. Some clients even have a little nap while we’re working!
Your skin will go through a little healing process before you see the final result. Brows can look darker or stronger at first, then soften as they heal. Brows are generally fully settled around four weeks after treatment.
We don’t tattoo during pregnancy. After giving birth, we recommend waiting around 4–6 months for your hormones to settle. If you’re breastfeeding, please contact us before booking so we can chat through your individual circumstances.
You need to be 18 or over to have cosmetic tattooing at Arch.
You’ll receive all of your pre-appointment information after booking so you know exactly what to do before your treatment. This includes things to avoid before your appointment such as sun exposure, Botox, filler, certain skincare products and alcohol.
It’s completely normal for your brows or lips to look stronger immediately after treatment. Your brows may look darker while they heal and lip tattooing can cause some swelling and brighter colour at first. Everything will soften as your skin heals. You’ll also receive detailed aftercare instructions so you’ll know exactly what to do once you leave the studio.
You’ll be given your aftercare instructions on the day. For the first 10 days, you’ll need to avoid things like exercise, swimming, saunas, spas and makeup on or around the treated area. Once everything has healed, sunscreen is important to help protect your colour and prevent premature fading.
